Candidates appeal to Black voters with pledges of economic justice

1/31/2020

This presidential campaign, more candidates (i.e. Warren, Bloomberg, and *Booker) have appealed to Black voters in terms of economic development and economic justice. Wonderful! I think Black voters will be regarded less as subjects than as citizens when backed by Black dollars.

* No longer a candidate.

As a professional athlete, (Trae) Young's donation speaks volumes for two reasons: It's a reminder of the country's healthcare costs -- the highest in the world -- and that families are struggling with medical debt.

Why exposed fuel panels found on 737 Max another reason I can't with Boeing

1/6/2020

Boeing has yet to regain my trust -- the faulty MCAS software, inadequate pilot training, the delay in apologizing to the victims. Now there's the possibility of exposed fuel panels? Imagine lightening strike an exposed fuel tank with the immense force of air thousands of feet (meters) in the sky. No! I'll pay a few extra dollars for an Airbus.

Wow. Maybe there's something to my mother opening all the windows and doors in the house, weather permitting. It's a little cold this time a year, but a few plants in my apartment and longer moments outdoors won't hurt.
