Long overdue, but I commend the initiative. Dozens of Afro American MBA students will gain networking opportunities provided to students at top B-Schools. They'll also receive a stipend and tuition subsidy (if not remittance) like Ph.D students at major research universities.

I can help close the gap by knowing the salary trends in the market of my profession, sharpening my negotiating skills through mock interviews, tapping into established networks i.e. the Urban League for advocacy, and mentoring other Afro American women to do the same.

I believe the lack of economic mobility gave rise to the 'sharing' economy. This week I came across a site where subscribers can rent trendy clothes every month. Jeremy Rifkin's The Zero Marginal Cost Society introduced me to the range of services being communalized commercially.
