Raising my eyebrows @ recent U.S. unemployment claims post-2009

So, unemployment claims peaked in '09 at 665,000? In March, we saw a 10-fold increase since then. More than 10-fold. Yikes!

The leverage USPS has to negotiate higher delivery rates from Amazon

The U.S. Postal Service has leverage to negotiate higher delivery rates for Amazon. Amazon is its largest customer, but that's because Amazon must rely on it for deliveries to low-margin and rural addresses.

Census Takers do more for COVID well-being than "Stay Home" messages

Speaking of tech interventions, Jeffrey Aaron Snyder made a similar point in "Higher Education in the Age of Coronavirus." He noted the mass migration to online instruction lacks the interpersonal feedback of classroom instruction. Conversely, I'll add that the Census Bureau mobilizes Census takers to homes and communities for the most aggregate of data. But assessing for social determinants of health during a pandemic? Well, there's the mantra "we're all in this together" and -- so the authors say -- apps for contact tracing.

Excellent video! Here are ideas for my own dopamine detox (including some **previous norms). I omitted practices adopted in the last six months.

-- Eat hot food warm.
** Eat hot meals bland.
** No personal finances X days a week
** Black tea over black coffee (if any caffeine)
-- 15 percent less internet each day

Please share your ideas for a dopamine detox. I'd like to know.
