Mother's unknown H.S. document taught to me as oral history now found

It disappoints me that I was unable to attend a formal commemoration in Philly for "Project 1619." (The New York Times Magazine has a commemoration similarly called The 1619 Project.) Available records indicate the first enslaved Africans of British colonial America disembarked 400 years ago today. It was the dawn of chattel slavery in the United States and the Afro American lineage.

Fortunately, I found a copy of a document my mother began teaching me in childhood as oral history. In high school, she had transcribed from her textbook onto a slap [sic] of cardboard. She's wanted to do something with the work for years, and I want to help her do so.

I'd love to [break the ice] with senior-level professionals unaccustomed to regular interaction with Afro American women (plural). It's been standard fare for me with colleagues in my professional life, minus the mere possibility for recognition or advancement.

Another factor to consider for debt between 2-year, 4-year degree holders

I wonder how similar the outcomes if the study controlled for financial aid dependency status (independent vs. dependent students). In other words, will holders of either degree have HIGHER rates of consumer and student loan debt if INDEPENDENT students previously? Will holders of either degree have HIGHER proportions of "house debt" if DEPENDENT students previously?

This LinkedIn course helped me spruce up my resume, cover letter, and profile

I highly recommended this course for job seekers. Three takeaways: Include only the most endorsable skills on your Linkedin profile. Talk about the company -- not yourself -- in your cover letter. And never request the status of your application on a Monday.

Building a successful digital ad campaign

If exposed to a target market, native ads seem the way to go. Participants who "didn't click on the ads were still MUCH MORE likely to call the featured restaurant than those who saw no advertising at all."
