My move will pick up once I get the key to my new place (any day now). Thanks for several more days to give you the Committee update below. 
 
I sent the following message to GTHU yesterday. It's a general message -- an inquiry -- so I'll BCC you (and notify the recipient/s) when I send an intro or general inquiry to an organization in the future. I'll send you a brief follow-up with the organization's response ASAP.
 
Greater Harrisburg Area Tenants United:
 
Thank you for upholding the rights and morale of renters in Harrisburg.
 
My name is Jubalyn ExWilliams, a current renter and chair of the Environmental Committee of the Harrisburg NAACP. Under my tenure, the Environmental Committee has residential fire code inspection and enforcement of the fire code as part of our advocacy for non-arson, residential fire prevention. Of particular interest are:
​

• Low-, moderate-, fixed-income, and Black tenants subject to the aforementioned on the South Side, the Hill, and Uptown
• Harrisburg renters subject to the aforementioned in public housing, rooming houses, and halfway houses
• Neglectful and unresponsive landlords, property owners, and property managers on the South Side, the Hill, and Uptown
• Neglectful and unresponsive landlords, property owners, and property managers for public housing, rooming houses, and halfway houses in Harrisburg

On behalf of the Environmental Committee, please accept my request to partner with GHTU for renters; their families; and neighbors around fire code inspection and enforcement of the fire code.

The founding Environmental Committee of the Harrisburg NAACP popularizes awareness for fire safety & prevention in the City of Harrisburg. Upon its formal conception in March 2021, the Committee has been developing a free educational product for young learners about non-arson house fires.
