Environmental Committee: Research on Basic Fire Safety, Prevention

I came across your email response to the Committee's December update.

... and a Happy New Year to you, too!

I almost forgot about the major residential fires in New York and Philly. I understand a child might've sparked the latter blaze, unfortunately.

In regard to the Harrisburg NAACP, I was present for the general meeting via conference call last week. (So much for my desire to get this update out before then.) I had nothing new AND tangible to offer as an update at the general or executive meetings.

Since then, I've placed holds on eight books for grade-schoolers that I'll get at the nearest branch of the public library. They'll help to inform the cartoon script so that the youngest learners can exercise fire safety at home. This is in addition to the online videos bookmarked here.

Because I work overnight, it's inconvenient for me to get up hours early to catch the bus or rideshare for back-to-back meetings at the newly secured [Edgemont] Firehouse. However, I'd like to provide you with a print copy of the script's rough-rough draft.
